Ben Smith | Director of Sales
Benjamin Smith brings more than 10 years of consultative sales experience working with large enterprise organizations and has developed deep expertise in ESD flooring solutions and the unique challenges of static-sensitive environments. As Director of Sales, Ben works closely with customers, distributors, and channel partners to identify the right StaticStop solution based on facility requirements, performance needs, installation conditions, and long-term goals.
Ben manages channel partnerships for the StaticStop division, helping customers navigate ESD flooring decisions with a practical, solutions-focused approach. His experience allows him to understand both the technical requirements of ESD protection and the operational considerations that can impact a successful flooring project.
Prior to joining StaticStop, Ben held enterprise software sales roles at Oracle, Anaplan, Tradeshift, and Khoros. He graduated from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver.
Outside of work, Ben is an avid skier, saltwater angler, and golfer.
Chris Hughes | Inside Sales & Customer Service
Chris Hughes brings more than 35 years of experience in the ESD flooring industry, giving him a deep understanding of static-control flooring, facility requirements, installation challenges, and the evolving needs of ESD-sensitive environments.
Chris began his career with United Technical Products, one of the early innovators in ESD flooring, and went on to work with several established leaders in the flooring industry before joining SelecTech in 2013. Over the course of his career, he has helped customers evaluate and implement ESD flooring solutions across a wide range of applications, bringing decades of practical industry knowledge to every project.
At SelecTech, Chris values the company’s strong culture, experienced team, and commitment to innovation. He believes StaticStop’s best-in-class ESD flooring solutions, including its proven interlocking flooring technology manufactured in New England, provide customers with a unique combination of performance, flexibility, and reliability.
A Massachusetts native, Chris attended Boston University. Outside of work, he is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys college hockey, baseball, and music.
